The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
