Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player won his first title for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult year, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally separating with former trainer Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship since the Rome competition and first on a hard court since March of that year.
Victory also means the Russian has won twenty-one titles at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children simultaneously, so to secure a championship is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
His counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on the tennis court had led some to wonder if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five points to take the lead.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional championship, took control to create a third set.
Moutet rescued four initial chances in a close final set before the champion broke to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched the title with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
